Living Takes More Courage

Living Takes More Courage

A Poem by SilentlyDying
"

A bitchin' villanelle that I wrote for an Lit class project :)

"

Living takes more courage than does dying,

A battlefield till the very last breath,

Great rewards come to those who keep trying.

Sometimes one cannot try without crying,

But as the authors so often writeth,

Living takes more courage than does dying.

Nature in life bulky knots keeps tying,

Obstacles that must be overcometh.

Great rewards come to those who keep trying.

Some away from existence keep shying.

To the pleas of the living they are deaf.

Living takes more courage than does dying.

Most get nothing money can be buying:

While weak men get only premature death,

Great rewards come to those who keep trying.

The victory they are so closely eying,

Never once do they, do we, stop to rest.

Living takes more courage than does dying,

Great rewards come to those who keep trying.
