Contest entry: "No more than 500 words" by Whisty_x

"
Humans don't have magic. That's how it's always been.
Until one day...
An old artifact was destroyed.
It contained the magic of humanity.
No one knew about it until everyone knew about it.
People were scared. They thought:
"Why was our magic contained?"
"Was it to stop us from destroying ourselves?"
"Would the destruction of the artifact cause some catastrophe?"
...
Humans have magic. That's how it had always been.
How it was supposed to be. That's how it is now.

Author's Note

Silver
This is my first time publishing a story, so I hope it's good enough!
For those outside the contest: don't mind the length, it's supposed to be short.

Definitely creative. I would recommend you continue to write the other parts of the story because I see potential in the narrative that you have created.
