Taken

Taken

A Poem by Kevin Colaprete

He came in the dark of night
to steal away my valued sight.

He came with silent eyes searing,
to rob me of my precious hearing.

He came from the dead apple tree in haste,
to run off with with my dearly treasured taste.

He came to me while I slept in comfort such,
to do away with my priceless sense of touch.

He came from the beautiful rose that fell,
to pry away from me my ability to smell.

Just wanted to drop a note - this is very nice. Like the language here, the description of one stolen sense from a corresponding image ("...from the dead apple tree...treasured taste" and "...silent eyes...precious hearing"). Well done. I can't think of anything I would change, this is nicely done.

Thanks for the read
