It's never enough

One lonely soul even when I have the most wonderful man by my side

The moment I wake to the moment I go to bed
I feel your sunkissed glow upon my face
Your warm enticing smile Hollars me close
Your soft gentle touch erects the hairs on my arms
Yet why do I still feel alone....

Your here, there, everywhere I look
Your words are etched upon my mind
Your words are not enough
You walk through glass for me
But it's still not enough
I'm still lonely

You see we are on different paths
Two lives at odds
Living together but the tenderness is sparce

Your grace is almighty
I'm sitting here contritely
holding me up
While Im bringing you down

I'm broken and won't be fixed

Hmmm. I can certainly relate to aspects of this write......

Sometimes loneliness is at its zenith when one is part of a pairing; over time people can grow apart or one loses sight of themselves and their place in the partnership. Everything appears to be around them, yet something is always missing, and that something supercedes everything else. It is as much an individual state of mind as a reflection of a partnership. Unless an individual can rediscover who they are or what they are, then they feel that they are broken. Yet, that is never the case. Anything that feels broken can always be fixed. With love, courage and understanding.

Your poem expresses something that many people will be able to relate to from the experiences in their lives. You tackled a relevant theme with honesty and simplicity. Nice work.
