Dear Father

Dear Father

A Poem by Nicholas Hagenschneider

My wings failed me long ago

and ever since i’ve spiraled downwards

i tried to move with your flow

but it was your words i could not hear

you cast me out

just for loving you

it’s them i doubt

it’s them that’s untrue

cast me down

break me

but as i drown

i’ll disagree

with your decision

your choice

your vision

and your voice

The word to describe this is heartbreaking a father abandoning his son when the son only wanted love the father in my perspective will later on regret letting his son fall amazing structure and writing skills

Yes, I have to agree with Sami... this is a great poem. The last five lines really made me feel the indignation of the piece. Well done.
