I wrote this poem, during 2012, about an angel named Ashley Marie. Enjoy...

Never Let Me Go...

...

Imperfection creates salvation.

I was born with no elbows,

So I cannot feed myself,

But I can reach out and feed those across from me.

My life,

I'm beginning to notice it isn't a tragedy,

And this is a blessing you have handed to me.

You have asked me to take this time,

And write about this very instant.

Well at this very instant I want to say that I love you!

Unconditional love:

Responding to the suffering of others.

You responded to me and vanished all of my insecurities.

Ashley Marie,

You have reached out to me in ways I have never believed.

Allowing me to finally see the real me

�"� the loving me,

the honest me,

my purity!

You say that I have potential and you believe in me,

When I don't.

This might just be a note,

But it's one that I'll cherish for years,

And I'll memorize every quote!

I'll inscribe every word you have ever spoken,

Unto my soul!

The conversation we had tonight made me want to cry.

I won't lie about it.

Tears were falling from my eyes.

My Angel from above.

You are God's blessing from the heavenly skies.

I never felt so right,

And I could never do you wrong

Because you make me feel like I truly belong!

You have asked me to wrap this letter with my chap stick

And not read it `till thirty years from today...

2042:

I'll be sixty four

And you?

I'll pray every day you'll be the love of my life,

But most importantly,

My beloved wife!
