My Crow

My Crow

A Poem by sinNsincerity

She is spoken poetry.

My sacred rosary.

But she is the one

Who holds on and pr(e)ys on me.

I'm the beauty to her beast.

Such is why my heart is the perfect feast.

Hip check,

Her hips on my neck.

Lips pressed.

Woop, zoop, sloop. . .

Bud, Not Buddy.

But you’re more than that

My lovely.

Now,

Allow me to take your breath.

Winter solstice brings out my best

And I towered the pyramid steps to capture

The heart inside of your chest.

Heka and offerings-

From putty to pottery,

The transformation of the conscious

To the sub lays the forbidden poetry.

This is not blessed,

But a sin fest.

Drunk off of your Witch's brew,

All the while,

Dangling off of your balcony view.

Do you hear my gloom?

I’m calling upon you-

Ms. Moon.

Please accept my sacred voodoo.

Thus far, my favorite poem from you. Everything works well in this poem, structure, word choice, flow, etc. As the reader, I get a clear image of a beautiful but manipulative woman, deeply insecure (which is why she doesn't allow anyone as close as the writer wants to be). Frustration and desperation are strong emotions I pick up, and streaks of bitterness (for the rejection, refusal to love, recognize, etc). An enjoyable read, as all good poetry is.

I'm glad you had enjoyed it Robert and for thinking so.

A large amount of imagery in this one. The impression is of almost idolatry, but with a spice of resentment because of that. At any rate, the prisoner seems mainly happy.

I enjoyed this very much. It seem to fall in and out of rhythm, keeping me in my toes. As I expected a sense of one thing, it was mixed up in the middle, and delivered a shock that feels like it surges forward.
As for the perspective, it felt like a refreshing look from the other side. Well done.

The thing I love the best about your poem is ORIGINALITY! This is so unusual, yet it sparks familiar feelings & ideas, all along the way. It’s so refreshing to read about a love/romance/sensual encounter without a single line being written in the typical over-used ways. This is a surprise the whole way, which is a hallmark of the best writing. Your references are subtle yet recognizable, which I like becuz I’m not that good at understanding nuanced writing (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

That is one aspect of the goal. Thank you for sticking around.
The imagery in this captured by the metaphors you use is just beautiful. My favorite line is "I'm the beauty to her beast.
Such is why my heart is the perfect feast."

The intense imagery there in those lines is just so powerful. I can actually envision this manipulative woman as a sort of beast that tears away anything pure and good from you. Such a great metaphor. I read through it twice because it has so much great depth and detail. I can't wait to read more of your material.
