Blaze Eternal With Me

Blaze Eternal With Me

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
"

A story about a murdered man waiting for his and his friends' killer in hell

"

Blaze eternal, dragon of might

In the endless inferno of Lucifer’s light

In constant agony, an endless fight

Join the nightmare, burn in fright

I wish you could see the drops of fire

The tongue of flames licking higher

In the caves damp with gore

You could share our pain you liar

I hear the screams sound out like a ghastly horror

Crusted blood is on your hands

From the bodies, I once knew as friends

Together with them I met my end

Together with them I wait for your soul

You fiend

I watch the madness swell

A tale only we can tell

And if all is good and well

You’ll burn with us down here in hell

I haven’t forgotten the pain you caused

I still remember those you’ve slain without pause

There was no clause for what you did

You can't just get away with that s**t

There is no forgiveness

No forgetfulness

I don't want your shame

Or your regretfulness

I yearn for flesh

For the one who left us crushed

Bodies ground to mush

We were untouched before you showed up

So I’ll raise a cup of our blood

For the day you come to hell

When you'll be buried in the mud

As nothing but a shell

There’s a bloody mist down here

In the darkness

I can barely see the corpses

You stole the light from their eyes

Just like us you will become a slave

And pay for the path of death you paved

If you think you won’t come down here and you'll be saved

I’ll pull you down into our grave

If no one will settle the debt that might never be paid

Then I wish in the afterlife there will be no place without us that you can stay

Us, the ones you killed

All for a sick thrill, well what do you feel now?

Is it bitter?

Is it cold?

Are you up there getting old?

After all the souls you sold?

While we slowly turn to mold?

Despite all the strings you pulled

Cheating the ones you wronged won’t be simple

The blaze will burn your heart of coal

No more popping people's heads like pimples

We’re waiting eagerly down here

Waiting for you to share the fear

As our broken bodies rot and rust

And our souls have been all but lost

Crumbling to dust

All because of your bloodlust

But we’ll be there for your spirit

When your body is a husk

Fire will steal back what you took

In the flames, you will be burned clean

And for once after death I will feel free

Free from my pain

Sure you say what you did was sane

That ending life is how you gain

But someday you'll see that you were wrong

Blaze eternal

Giving back for what you stole

Blaze internal for your sins with me

Author's Note

R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
Probably the darkest poem I've wrote, and not really special in any way either. Still, please tell me how you feel about it, I'd love to hear your opinion.

I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review, because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.

Really loved this! The offbeat rhyming made it interesting and the story was brilliant. Nice job!

I felt the narrator's lust for vengeance and the frustration of betrayal. It was a good poem.

I like dark poetry, how well can one really know and understand happiness if you never experience sorrow and sadness. For the time it took me to read your poem I felt the turmoil in my soul and I thank you for the experience. Bravo! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!
