Immortal

Immortal

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
"

People who write about their experienced on immortalized forever on the timeline of humanity. Our words, actions, and way of life will be forever embedded into the future and remain buried in the past

"

I stand out in the crowd of sewer rats pretending I'm unlike them, but no one wants to see me

I understand, not a fan of myself either really but I’m lonely

I’m only what you made me, are you afraid to be wrong?

To face them for all that you’ve done and tell the truth for once this time now?

My blood still runs but my heart is cold

Immortalized inside my chest beating down the bloody flow of time that one day will run dry

Molested by your installation of instruments of old meant to keep me from being completely human

From being bold

You can kill me with your lies

Stab out my eyes and call me blind

And pretend I’m a fiend with your sign language means but my words are immortal

I am hopeful that when this is over you will decay in the forest that raped me of my being

And the leaves will fall upon you and bury your dreams beneath the trees

Only I will remain among the saplings

Whatever you wish might happen, there is no happy ever after

Ink-stained, your spittle ricocheting off my skin in a river of half-hearted lies and prideful homicides, still alive beneath the skin

But I will live on in your blood

In your drink, in your sons, in your heart, in your ink, in your bark, in your bite, in your might, in your fight

Every word you think right will be imprinted by my fingers clutching onto you until I turn cold finally and fall to the floor, be alone with you at death’s door

I will soar over your gunshot opinions and finish still living until the day I’m out of options unforgiven and your god has risen to strike down the enemy of conquerors, a convicted cur breaking out your prisons, risen to be brazen with the havens my view point a given, your blurred vision near-sighted ideas whited out, distant

Monikers for the memories, unforgotten words, missions, listed in pristine condition dishing em out lisping, whispering, listening, different

I am a harvester of the cruelties of monsters, posting my words on the internet, irresponsive, regardless of the comments

I am a harbinger of the constant assumption that ruptures, vomits reality, given that, fluctuating mentality

I am the something named a nothing, the beginning, the infinity and the end

I am the disgusting thing you created through our suffering, waiting round the bend

I am immortal, a boatload of torture hate, raging on the border of a monster and other kinds of things you’d forgo

Like a sex scene in a porno, unclean born in the ruined world you borrowed

I am the secrets to your sorrow, and a virus in your morrow

I am the danger in your tomorrow, flaws in your reason with no morals

I am the hope that you have borrowed, and the chances that you have stolen

The lives that you have taken while still knowing, the bonds that are stressed to the point of being broken

I am the bested emotions behind your making, the truth that you’ve forsaken, your inner demon, your loathing, your hatred, how your coping, inconsequential uninfluential mental strides for a frail little homo-sapien fleeting is the spirit inside the body of created men, full of pride, but unforgotten

And I will live on, the spit and spawn of a poet sharp as a pen stroke, fragile and comprehensive as the senses of life, ink blood on the paper, evidence on the knife, a story told, a dirt trailed road, a stowaway wishing for gold or the valiant challenge of the unknown at the end of an unfolded life

Quite right, take flight!

Past the point where my body's gone and my souls buried in a hole and it’s all over, despite what you might think is right, don’t remain sober

Until I move on from the goals of a worn tombstone and the worms beneath the concrete streets, and the laughter and life among the trees satisfied to see and roam the skies at night, between the state of reality, and the sea of unconscious dreams

Until I spiritualize unified with my friends alight among the stars of the other side as high as a kite, free

Philosophy forever to be immortalized in the lives of others, a living sea free from hypocrisy and filled with the constant breed catching on like a human bonding disease of new thoughts and feelings, hatred or reason, sacred and needing, vagrant or bleeding, stated and believing, debated or agreeing, awaited and leaving, sated or feeding, stillness and breathing, stagnant or giving, dying and living, we are all human beings

They will realize, when people find that your words were albeit lies, that I was circumcised by your crimes, mocked by, left for the flies in the coming sunrise, politicized but living life with a clairvoyant, poisoned mind, looking down with eagle eyes, words, actions truly never die, feelings are heard, even after the disaster of sacrifice, watching our world rematerialize, purified, denied to be what I am by your twisted hand fisted alibi, risen again, my friend, rended into the flesh of the future, and buried with the bones of past, even after being burned to ash, connected, attached, here to stay free from the prison of men again, and never to ever end

Undivided, reunited, full of life, predestined, and daringly decided, to take time by its sleeves, bring the galaxy to its knees, breathe in the breeze, clutch the reins and ride it

I will live on

I'll be adding more to this later, or at least improving it. Just so you know.

I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.

This poem makes me recall one of my favorite poems by William Shakespeare - " Not Marble, nor the Gilded Monuments". Poetry survives forever in the heart of lovers (Lovers of literature). Poetry is the first and last of all knowledge, It is as immortal as the heart of a man.

You poetry comes from highest happiness or the deepest sorrow or sometimes a complete fusion of both. So you can know from my words that, I really loved this poem... I enjoyed the poem from beginning to the end.

Again a "Good Luck" for your poems.
Thanks for sharing!
