Dragonfire Moon

Dragonfire Moon

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)

What a beautiful moon

I can see it up there staring at me

Like a provocative apocalypse

Shimmering brimstone amygdala

A thinking vessel of the lesser key of Solomon

Solitude sharing the sky with a ball of fire

Who could only be a shadowed shade of that brilliance, that primrose

That hatred, that window into souls

That breathes a choir of hellfire

And sings a voice of remorse

Sorcery morbidly orbiting cordial dances with a prancing humanity diligently spilling their privilege throughout the world

And act like it’s their own and everything else is irrelevant

So when the moon stares at me, like a curious one-eyed freak

I see perfection, even if we are just flecks of sparks of depth and marks in the darkness

That spin horizon diagrams diagonal Dragonfire around the high wired lift of existence

And for some reason, I still want off this ride

Author's Note

R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
I very seldom reply to reviews, but I promise I read EVERY single one. I look forward to my next review, because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be ecstatic to have the chance to hear what you have to say. Whenever you write something about my poems, or the themes of my poems, or criticize me it is not in vain. I will listen, learn and be thankful.
