Stray Blades (A Collab)

Stray Blades (A Collab)

A Poem by R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
"

This is the longer collab version of a piece I worked on with a friend of mine. MC Aurora. If you want to read a shorter version, there will be another poem called Blade Graveyard. Check it out maybe.

"

R.J Calzonetti

Nothingness sounds

Like the mute screaming

In the arms of a fallen angel

Singing songs of Eden

Instead of gospels

Choirs of leviathans are baptizing tyrants in the silence

Guillotine gangrene machineguns squealing

Amputated magnanimously dangling

Strangulated slipknot doppelgangers in rocking chairs

Running thunderous from the underworld beneath the angels

Of illustrious knuckleduster fluctuations graceless

We are but dreamcatcher velociraptors, castrated in the asterisks

Of cathedrals of shrapnel cardiovascular heartbeat-broken ribcaged prisoners

Vernacular decapitation as the dropping helicopters sarcophagus

Coffins of operas mockingbird servitude emerge shapeshifting

To a devil with a crown

A level below the ground

The generals’ bellow arpeggio of severed renegades

And we grow limbs amongst the midnight sun’s mass

Deep beneath the grass, divided in our wrath

 (MC) Aurora

A twinge of envy  aroused as hate,

The crowned heir of affliction perceives.

 Conspiracy mingled in fonder conviction.

Played flatter in hearts adored enliven in fate

Of betrayal commiseration solace.

The mean mind made in miracle wonder tangled

In heart, ink heart, in soul and flow down look low in tears,

On the wretched fortune, luck owed to pirates,

Sail in the seas of gore wore as joy and carousing.

Play guitars in old bones gangrene hand,

Waiting to get wrecked, bend and break,

Onsight to cease burns gilding blood inside,

The crowned heir of sorrow now freeze in your own breath, every morrow

Break-in dawn, blend bones, still fall beneath the shadow.

Mechanization of lavender canisters I eradicated Homosapien

Reanimated graffitied bulimic onomatopoeia

On the walls of apostles, apocryphal Ragnarok

Postulated philosophically indoctrinated

Hypothetical Armageddons dilapidated evaporated pathogens

The amalgamation of salvation is lacerated proclamations

Spun by archaic graveyard bombshells of evangelical hellions

Rebellion amaryllis tranquillity of disenchanted hippocampus

Mesmerization of the aether grapevine cyphers of the invitational fables wailing

Maelstroms roaming embryos of golden gilded Gilgamesh

Thresholds of leftover oblivion’s photosynthesis

Of chlorophyl origami psionic symphonic autonomous dichotomy

Through the polyphonic clockwork of quintuplet’s on the concrete glass

Psychotropic droplets of provocative tears yet to be wept in deception

Nothingness sounds like the battlefield after the war

Shadows born amidst the gore like a carnival’s roar

As armies fall with patchwork apathy

To deeper hallways in the basements of hells’ avarice

With the lights turned off, static cadavers cataclysmic madness dabbling

In the damaged humanity of crosshair cross-bearers

Electroconvulsive monstrous abominations that reign over Salem derailing radiance

(MC) Aurora

Sombre heart, ran out of strength to beat to life,

The whine is whimper and sounds feeble, almost limp,

Disabled cripple hopeless under the thrall of grieving.

Feeling captive in self-made solitary confinement

To hide the red-faced demon’s appearance,

And the cowardice of a self destroyer.

In a disastrous might walking down the rained street,

Recognize cruelly enjoying life in pained cheers and sheer.

When all was left to do was to be afraid and runoff from fears,

Words on my fingers, puppets in my hand calligraph

Paint colours, colourless scribbles on a creased paper,

Write on cinders of the pain and of those pains.

R.J Calzonetti

Trancelike graphite daffodils pillage our pilgrimage

As I flower into a deadman, when you made me like this

As if I never lived, a chivalrous guillotine

But only bleed Armageddon from the systemic arsenic of resurrection

We were shackled primordials caged in constellations

Grazing on the graffitied words etched by celestials

In the hieroglyphics of photosynthesis imprinted

Of imprisoned totalitarianism widowed to windbreakers

Windows in the limbo of times’ scarecrows

Of despair’s cloak grasping apathy by the throat gasping rhapsodies

Streaming interlopers necrosis magnum opus incorporeal vocal morsels

Intercourse through loathlessness four horsemen open fire on the Brightside

And talk the Apocrypha's esophagus as offspring of a gospel’s ghost

Of a man burned at the stake, pinned to a post

Like missionaries of hatreds’ stray blades reawakening the bloodlust incarcerated

I was born to be bleed faded photographs

Drifting shapeshifting equilibrium crumpled homunculus

Emblazed left faithful to my own hopelessness, held within my broken fist

Fingers twisted this world into submission, the dusk of sundown hiding behind my palms

My own salvation was not a gift

Although the spoils of war still remain present

In my resentment for heaven-sent revenants

That just don’t know how to die a good death

Like a candle that doesn’t do any more than smoulder in the rubble of our shattered wax lives

But I too know what it’s like to burn without being bright

Author's Note

R.J Calzonetti (SinisterPotatoe)
The parts in the italics are Aurora's work. I wrote the other stanzas. This isn't our first collaboration, but it's been months, so there was a lot of excitement leading up to this!

I promise I read every single review, and I generally will reply to them. I look forward to my next review, because it helps me learn. Even if it's just one word, I promise, I will be happy to hear anything you feel needs sharing. Whenever you write on my shortcomings or breakthroughs, or the themes of my poems, or share ideas and friendly criticism, it decides my next poem to an extent. I will listen, learn and be thankful. And 99% of the time, you'll get a reply unless you're trolling me.

I love to see a collab betw U2! Your styles groove so well. RJ is like a snake slithering becuz of the fluidity of your word sounds & long complex words, plus you dwell more in the realm of feeling. MC is like a small animal scampering, using more short transitional words that make sentences feel more expressive, more intellectual, like scampering from idea to idea, more in the thinking realms. The first RJ installment really carried me away on a sensory trip, but the second one felt a little more stilted & not as flowing. Love the last RJ which felt the most balanced. Also love the art/painting connection that often appears in MC's work . . . I can feel your love of this medium, almost as if you turn words into paint. All in all, fun, cohesive, & powerful (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
