Dropped From The Peak of Infatuation

Dropped From The Peak of Infatuation

A Poem by {REDACTED}

I am looking for something more,
The thought of you is what makes me surrender,
The melancholy thoughts of my mind,
Are pulling me under.
Are you watching me?
Are you wanting me?
Are you thinking of me?
Cause your rejection is,
Pulling me under.

Your touch is like Lithium,
It brought my stability to life,
It made me feel what I've wanted for so long,
It was something that i'd never let go...

Then that one day came when everything came crashing down.
I can't believe you did this to me,
I cant believe I let this happen,

But the end was inevitable.
There has been so many times that I have done this to myself,
Then one day,
You were bound to recieve my pain.
I am sorry for what I have done,
I will never do it again.
Just allow me to wallow in my own pain,
Just allow me to pass out in my shame.

Love is so powerful that it changes who we are, and makes us act in such an alternative way to what we are used to that, our whole personality is morphed into what we persieve to be the way our love or infatuation wants to see... Some of us will do anything for love, for reason...

Author's Note

{REDACTED}
As shameful as it sounds I wrote this while intoxicated, as well as edited it during the same intoxication. Pretty good for being drunk eh?
Anyways, not my usual style but let me know what you think.
