Alone at home

Alone at home

A Story by Skie blue.
"

There's always one day, when you wake up by yourself.

"
Hours passed by, without a slight word.
Only the silence could truly be heard.

Her bed sheets were broken
Scattered about.
But if there was any annoyance it didn't speak out.

Stepping on the hardwood floors, feeling the cold on her feet.
Looking out the window the the neighbors on the street.

A hot shower was long overdue.
Yet, per usual the water did not stay true.

Walking to the second room, spying the empty bed.
Heck, she might have been happy even with some undead.

But she paced the halls like a stray tom cat.
Wondering when someone would walk out and say "Scat!"

But not in her home, in her state of melancholy.
Maybe she wouldn't be alone in a big city.

Cold milk and mushy cereal was breakfast.
With the news blabbering about the new districts.

Hair falling into her eyes as she could defeat.
That annoying cereal that just would not be eat.

It might have been sad to someone looking in.
Of how she walked around stiff as though she were tin.

Waiting for the perfect moment to find something to do.
But as, per usual, her plans turned like stew.

So she sat there waiting, all alone.
Until.
"Mommy!"

"hey baby! Welcome to home!"
