Just One Of Those Nights

 

Forever and ever, I guess

You’ll be a part of my heart

For you were my true love

Right from the very start

 

Sometimes, the tears still flow

When memories of you

Come back to me once again

Making me feel so blue

 

What had happened to those promises

Until death do us part

I had meant every word I had said

Right from the very start

 

There was a time as I recall

When your love for me was true

There was no other place I wanted to be

Then right there with you

 

I stuffed all that pain deep down inside

The pain was just too much for me to bear

I turned all that pain into anger

As I wiped away each one of the tears

 

Then I remember all of the pain

And the anger I had felt too

I tell myself that the time will come

When I'll finally get over you

 

Tonight is just one of those nights

When loneliness comes once again

And, as I sit here in total silence

I think of way back then
