GRID LOCK

GRID LOCK

A Poem by -Scribe in Style-
"

At a construction site...

"

Grid Lock!

Think you’ve won! Left a

Victim abandoned -

Enclosed amidst grid locks?

Thrown away keys to padlocks?

Prepared with rods,

Barriers ruining or making plots.

Endless crossroads! Vertical horizontal

Square spaces up top.

Barred at the bottom

High ceilings don’t daunt -

Ahead a transparent maze

Eliminate, eradicate and erase

Past pull, push and shove,

Hands wear a labored glove.

A coming up construction,

Designed walls an obstruction,

Reckoned I’d collapse,

But I perceived the traps.

Hidden under the rocks,

Strong sturdy boxed blocks,

Boldly built to steadily scuttle

Pranced a pattern sly and subtle;

Even in an encircled naught,

Model paragons successfully sought.

I (daydream) Dance: in between posts,

Twist and turn hanging on poles.

I swerve mindless, body and soul,

Grace my steps in a drum roll.

Hips sway in harmonious direction,

Feet follow in elegant extension.

Without a pause or a delay,

I race my own rhythmic relay

Passing pillars with just palms,

Arms swing invisible batons.

Pirouette over shadow lines,

Spin out a twirl and a victory sign!!
