Unrequited.

Unrequited.

A Poem by Ashley Jordan
"

I can't help but think she still has her spell on you.

"
I wish I could find the perfect words...
Words that would swell like the ocean. Pull her out and under, and erase her from your mind.
I wish I knew just what to say...
To warm your heart like the summer sun. To melt the chill of hurt and betrayal that you've felt due to her selfishness.
I wish only to know.
How to comfort you and ease your pain, even if your heart will never fully belong to me.
I yearn for you.
Amor de verano, mi primer amor.

Author's Note

Ashley Jordan
I'd love some feed back. There is no rhyme scheme. It's really short. I was actually at a show one night when inspiration struck and this was saved as a note into my cell phone.
(Summer love, my first love.**Amor de verano, mi primer amor.)

It's very sweet. Did you ever send this to the person it was made for? Did this person know you loved them?
