A Poem by Ashley Jordan
"

The Era of Kurtis Dean 6.12.07

"
You sigh
and I slide
into your arms.
When our eyes meet
It's a car crash.
The fiberglass
catches in my throat
making it hard to breathe
like when you press
your lips to me.
It's tragic,
yet It's beautiful.
You're dangerous
and I feel dutiful
to stay here with you
while you break my heart
in two.
A love full of youth
Is usually lacking in truth.
