A Poem by Ashley Jordan

I presented an opportunity with my insecurities.
And in them, you found alibis.
Now despite my efforts, I seem insincere.
Thank you for you misconceptions…
and your assumptions.
Thank you for making me the bad guy.
I know that was your intention all along.
When will you face the mistakes that you’ve made?
You’ll never take the blame because your words are too hard for you to deliver.
Why are you so afraid of her?
You’ll never take the blame because your words are too hard to swallow.
Once they’re spoken, you can’t take them back.
Why are you so afraid of her?
You’ll never take the blame because I will never call you out on this and she will never know.
Why should I take your blame?
What the f**k is wrong with me?
