Happy Halloween 2013 - The Boy and The Beast

A poem I had written quickly to celebrate Halloween 2013!

The boy walks home, excited for halloween

Unaware of his instant peril, approached his last halloween

Hallowed by thy name

The beast revealed himself to the boy

Shocked, filled with fear

The boy focused on the task at hand

Called out to the heavens for power to destroy the beast

However no one answered, unarmed the boy ready to slay the beast

What happened that night

On October 31st

Nothing except for dark magic at the worst

For the only thing remaining of this story is pain

Hearing the ending may drive the reader insane

But the parts of the boy were smeared on the beast mane
