I thought this was yet another break-up piece, but then death comes strolling up out of nowhere and sits down next me. The contrast was unexpected and striking. This poem is obviously very personal, but its touch is definitely universal.
This is such a raw, emotionally charged piece, Izaak. The video made the presentation all the more haunting. Genuine, heat felt pain and an ardent longing, anger, even, for things to be...different. Very, extremely sad...

You've put you're heart in it, these are words from your soul...That makes it poetry, and one of the best kinds.
