thunderstorm poem

A Poem by Snowfrost Moth

on the way home
I got caught below a thunderstorm
rumbling, crackling, snapping
all across the sky

electric tongues charged the air
(forming nitrogen to make things grow)
and I closed my umbrella,
deciding to be wet and remain alive

though the storm threatened me
the summer rain was a balm
with all that bluster and force
it is easy to forget
that even a thunderstorm is Love.
