Trudging Through…

Trudging Through…

A Poem by Carlton Rolle

As struggles rage onward.

Strength pushed on.

Motivation in the pit of the beast.

My power withers and grows with the sway of the Wind.

A shake of the Earth.

Or a splash in the Water.

While I drag deeply in the core, I’m steadily smiling on the surface.

Hope is all we have.

I try to live for it.

Throughout the strength of self.

Emanates.

Glows.

Burns with every breath of Fire.

I pump.

Steadily forward.
