Dolls

Shiny toy dolls always have a certain look to them.

It shows beauty, wealth, and fun.

The excitement eclipses once the glam is gone.

Fortunes have been spent.

The stains begin to stick.

People fall in love with the fake.

Further losing touch with the real.

Alone and silent.

Bright-eyed and bow-tied.

Dead to anyone wanting more than the superficial.

I see them imploring for more to haunt.
