Sweet Surrender

By Saskia Liddick

Her touch was like the black widow,

Her lips full and inviting, like Soho nights.

The fight was always lost when she swung,

Her hips in perfect tempo, it was sweet.

Sweet surrender.

His gaze never left her body as she swayed,

she pantomimed a courtship dance long forgotten,

she tempted him with passion and fiery lust.

And he fell for it, he fell for it with,

Sweet surrender.

She was a pied piper for the men, that she was,

She had been the black widow that no one could,

Resist. And she felt no regret when she broke them,

Because it was them after all who had fallen for her,

Oh, the sweet surrender.

Awesome, that's put together very well. A bit suspenseful, a bit classic in the delivery. Good job.

Haunting write, here. Nicely penned. A great way to use the title, too. :)

The sweet surrenders are the gifts we remember in life. When we open our body and heart. Can allow the opportunity of disappointment. I like this poem. You brought me in with a very good story. I like the ending.
