Jungle Fever

Jungle Fever

A Poem by John Dennis Gillespie

You always grab my hand as we run through the forest land.
You say you’ll hold my heart if the wild becomes to dark.
I’ll be your mountain man, We’re only cowards when we part.
I’ll be your mountain man, nothing’s dangerous.
Nothing’s dangerous.

No naked nervousness, these woods are filled with bliss and poise.
Empty encumbrance, for twilight stars we’ll make our noise.
You are a jungle girl, You have no fear for this world.
You are a jungle girl, nothing’s dangerous.
Nothing’s dangerous.
