The Empty Nest Of Whole

The Empty Nest Of Whole

A Poem by Solilokiss

The tears rolled down the cheeks of Grace
The light at once fell from her face
Stained by the glory of the transcending fall
Pained by the light of the darkness of all

She was one
She was none
He was everything
She was once
Just a nun
To his every dream
Every smile on his face
Was the sun in her space
She, the moon, he, the sun
He was everything

Look at me, woman, look at your sun
I set down before you oh gracious one
Dry your eyes of me, mother, and rise from your knees
Encased by your love for all eternity

Pain for the glory stains not the fall
When loved by you, woman
The wonder of all
As water is to foundation
A purifier of souls
The sacrifice for salvation
An empty nest for the whole
We are one
Yet we are none
We are everything

I like to feel I've been on a little journey when I see a poem of certain lengths and you didn't disappoint. Nicely ended with great lines throughout.
Thanks for sharing.

This began slightly dark and ended in an optimistic light. Nicely done.
