To my Mama

To my Mama

A Poem by Solitaire-P0ette

So many things you really regret
Some actions you want to forget.
It's hard to not sit and cry.
It's also hard to watch your Mom die.
Our relationship wasn't as close as it could be.
But Still I loved her and she loved me.
I always try and stay strong.
She tired but didn't last long.
It was a year ago...but it still feels like today.
The way she used to talk...laugh...argue and play.
I want her here with me.
To share my success and glory.
I know she would be proud of me.
But that part I'll never see.
Her here again will never be.
But I know she's watching me.

I think this was a really sad poem. I feel bad about your mother passing away. I know it's hard when you lose a parent. I don't know how it is because I never lost a parent...but I know it is because my cousin lost her dad. I know its probably still hard on her...and I know it's probably hard on you as well...but just know you will always have someone care for you even after you lose someone you love....I think your mother would be proud of your success as well..this was a nice write...I'm still so sorry...thanks for sharing....

So I'm basically sitting here and crying now because
this will eventually happen to me
and I even feel like now
she doesn't understand how much I beat myself up
for my past
that she has known of
This is short
but super sweet

and it hit me where it hurt most.

makes me scared to know I wont have my mom for long,
or my dad
and I've realized it again

Thank you so much
this is an amazing read
honestly it is.

you hit it where it hurts.
thats what counts the most in each poem we all make.
no matter short or long,
the point in each poem
is to put out your feelings

Thank you.

Even six years ago, you write with a maturity and optimism that will make you great. Your mother has created one special creature. Who could ask for more. Touching, Pooh. So touching.

Sorry for your loss. I watched my father with the same struggle... just 6 months ago. Just before my graduation... It seems that nothing could really make us forget... I still hurt, like everyday is just another reminder that he's not here anymore... But I like to think that he's still around, watching me and smiling so proudly at me -- at least from a distance... The loneliness couldn't be explained in words exactly, you know?
I feel you, sis. Let's hold on to the memories.

I am sorry to hear about your mom passing, it is always difficult to loose someone that you are close to, but even more difficult when it is a parent, I lost my Grandpa a about a year ago and it has been really hard to deal with but I know he is in a better place, I also made a poem for him the week that he passed, it helps to get the thoughts out of your head and onto paper. Keep doin you and reaching for success I am sure that she is very proud of you!

YOU HAVE ME SPEECHLESS...
AND IN TEARS...
I KNOW HOW IT FEELS...
I RECENTLY LOST MY AUNT...
AND POSTED A POEM...
I KNOW IT'S NOT A DIRECT LINK BETWEEN THE TWO...
BUT...
I CAN FEEL THE HEARTACHE...
THAT YOU HAVE WRITTEN...
I WOULD BE VERY PROUD OF THIS PIECE...
IF I WERE YOU...
AMAZING JOB MY FRIEND...
