Truth's at Spirit's Door

Truth's at Spirit's Door

A Poem by Song of Mercy
"

The healing of a fallen Christian

"

Mighty strength, Truth forsaken once again.
Spirit gasps at sea, salty, crashing within.
Soul carrying spirit, submerged as before,
Flailing then clutching oar, gasping towards shore.
Rock ‘Neath sea’s sand, literal Truth ties secure,
Broken by storm, vessel’s repairs to procure.
Searching Truth’s path through storms, it’s hard seeking stars,
As palm bent at root, fruit too ripe, falling far.
Again seeking sun ‘Neath boughs on frothy shore,
Warming, healing, hoping, for Truth’s at spirit’s door.

Song of Mercy
One of my first real efforts at imagery...I may have gone to far, what do you think?
