Why?

Why?

A Poem by Soundz
"

After great days of skating, I made this :)

"

Why?

Tim McCollum

The ever-pulsating anticipation,

The weather’s never-ending temptation,

Courage fading leaves you thinking

Culminate back with never ending frustration.

The feeling of failing emanating,

Clouds hiding secrets of potentially precipitating,

And people starting to wonder,

Leaves you prepared for pointless complaining.

Thoughts like these become blunder.

It’s not there, there’s no thunder.

They want to believe you can.

You drop doubt and forget numbers.

There’s been pain, but I stand,

Breeze’s only perfect fans,

The new crowd shouts, “WHY?”

Then it’s just you, and you land.

Why?

Why not?

dear Soundz... in my youth I went splunking in caves in West Virginia with a professional guide who had survived many adventures. There were lakes underground and bats on the ceiling. I also went snow skiing in paths through the woods at a Ski Lodge in Pennsylvania... so I can relate to your poetry.
There is acquired confidence in the knowledge that you have seen life from a perspective that keeps you grounded and ready for Battle. truly, Pat

I know nothing about skating, but I can feel a universal sensation of the freedom that can be felt when one has some creative or active outlet that transports us from the madness of everyday strife. I like your sophisticated rhyming & your unusual ways of observing the way it can feel. To me, being original is the most rewarding aspect of writing & you've got it in spades (((HUGS)))

Very kind words. Glad you like it!
If you're a serious boarder. The anticipation of getting out there must be brilliant.
Doesn't matter how many times you fall, that's just another part of the fun.

Thanks man :)
I like the way you've structured this poem. Where the rhymes are give it an interesting beat and thoughts behind it are relatable. Good job.

Thank you :)
It's suppose to be fun and inspiring. Hope it did what I intended!
I enjoyed the honest and direct thoughts. You wrote of life and left the reader with questions. Should be the goal of the writer. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
