Rebecka and Stella Excert 1 (Stella's Point of View)

Rebecka and Stella Excert 1 (Stella's Point of View)

A Story by Alisha Martin

This is a story I've been working on for a long time.

We sat at the top of the otherwise empty bleachers. Breathing the silent warm air, the sun setting, letting a few brave stars shine through. I took a drag from my cigarette and let her lean against me, clutching my hand like it was her life line. I pointed up to the sky, and said

"See, look, Bec, they're all just up there. Waiting for your wish."

She took in the empty football field, the endless sky.

"But...what if they don't listen?" Her voice was but a whisper. I stretch my arm across her shoulders.

"That's the wonderful thing about stars, Bec. They're one of life's few guarantees. They may not always give you what you want. But they will always listen."

This is really good. I really think your work is great. I only saw one problem but judging from the review below me, they found it. I love it, great job.

This is really good, I like it. It has a good use of words that pull you into the story and acutally make you feel like you're there.
The only problem I see is that in line 4 is "Waiting for you wish" you need to add an 'r' to 'you'.
Other than that good work.

This sounds like it could be one of those GOOD inspirational stories... The kind people like to tell their close friends when they are feeling down :)

I liked it.

Is it supposed to be "waiting for your wish?"
