Parting Song

Parting Song

A Poem by Ankita Dwivedi
"

i am not me , you are not you .

"
Wind is sailing and so is time
I am your foe and you are mine.
Put a knife at my throat,
I will see how neat you strike .
I will be quicker still,
with  my fingers and the knife .
This  is "the" life.
Lips  soaked in Crimson,
 hearts in Vengeance.
Let us wait for the perfect radiance of yellow
to Spill hundred colours through the spectrum of Clouds .
Let me hold your hand
 and watch the sunset
and then I will help you find ways to fit.
Our hearts  in a sack ,
the voice of our souls crack .
Now,  I am wrapped in black.
The Voices echo in the hallways of our vien.
The toxicity of treachery rules our reign .
I am frozen in snow,
you are burning in fire .
I will wait for the fuel to be gone
and then, I will sing you a parting song.

You write very well. It's very coherent, grammatically correct, clear visuals and easy to follow. Well done.

I felt powerful energy in a cycle of push and pull. You captured this feeling well.

Sounds like someone bit off more than they could chew and are now in a battle of mutually assured destruction, with neither backing off or conceding control.
Why do love stories and battles sound so similar?
I sense a determination here to stop being seen as the weaker sex and sign away control of your life, which should be the first warning sign, but if they are arrogant enough to shout jump and expect you to ask how high, then they need a wake up call and deserve everything that's coming to them 😀

Many clever kinds of phrase here show your skill. The juxtaposition of holding hands and watching the sunset in the middle of a vengeance poem with several blood references was interesting. I've seen the opposite, a love poem with "by the way I want to rip your eyes out". So this had a very Sun Tzu love your enemy kind of feel.

There are many parting songs of “you did me Wrong”. Vengeance is best laid to rest and carry a sad song to a valley where you can discover a new way of living and loving. We as a people will recover and plant new ideas that will grow into Rainbows gold. truly, Pat

A bit of ying and yang ... a little give and take ... the duality of emotions ... love ... hate and in the end the well awaited vengeance and a song sung with a little smile.

Well done Ankita.

Many thanks for visiting , sir:)
I feel powerful emotional tug of war, emotions cold and hot, sharp objects striking at the heart of things, different spectrum of selves not as one. Whoa. I feel a bitter story unfolding.

Very sinister in pace and content. I did feel some of might be random to fit the rhyme? Never-the-less a spooky read.
