Laundry Piles Down

Laundry Piles Down

A Poem by Black Zodiac

Abuse runs rampant
My family in shambles
But only I would suffer
You gave me anxiety: kindergarten
You gave me depression: fourth grade
You gave me schizophrenia: 12
You gave me insomnia: 13
At 19, there was hope
But you tied it in a noose around my throat
Let me out of my cage, then choked me back in
Resent started
I use your money, your car, your house
You use your power to lock me at home
There's no hope
I'm your Cinderella
And the strikes come daily
Everyone says it's time to leave
Would I be better on the streets?
God, is there any future for me?
