Choice

Choice

A Poem by StVenant15

The choice comes soon

A winter’s doom

The northern lights above

For in this moment of solitude

Lies a lonesome, flightless dove

The snow glares white

Eyes full of fright

Soon winter’s reign shall end

Akin to a newborns sight

Spring peeks around the bend

Will you dance and play with me

Atop green grasses, loud and free?

Blue skies above, a dreamers dream,

Breathless in tranquility

Or shall you walk the battered seam?

The choice is yours, but make it wise

Spread your wings and learn to fly

For in this moment of solitude

A new path beckons,

Begin anew.

your poem is beautiful. Your word choice is perfect. I'm not good at reviewing so I'll say I really like it a lot. My favorite line is,
"Will you dance and play with me
Atop green grasses, loud and free?"
