Sounds mean more

Sounds mean more

A Poem by Quinn

Sounds can bring us together
Through music, dance and speech
Share our thoughts and feelings
Far further than man believes

They can scare or excite us
Creeks and scratches along the wall
Sending shivers down our spines
Sparking fear to our minds

They can care for us as we sleep
Like the gentle wurr of the cars gone by
Clunks and knocks out of sight
Sounds of home during the night

Sounds can also save us
Warning us of danger
Telling us "don't go near"
Just as for a startled deer

So if I had to loose a sense it could not be of sound
Because they mean much more
Than the music in the charts
But can truly be the saviour of our hearts
