Forbidden

Forbidden

A Poem by Quinn

Our love is forbidden

So we must continue to hide

Must pretend to see people

But that's not how it works

We must be together

Everyday just hurts

I'll keep this a secret

And keep it locked safe

Until the day we can be proud

Without fear of our lives

Till then we must tell them

These little lies

When we meet my heart

Oh it does pound

My breathing gets harder

My thoughts all arise

Your eyes just so beautiful

When it's over you're my prize

The taste of your lips

I long for each day

And your warmth

That I wish for at night

Onlyo be coupled with another

Knowing I can't put up a fight

We'll run some day

Well away from here

Somewhere we can be

Without eyes upon us

To be free and true

With no hassle nor fuss

I love you my darling

Hopefully one day they'll see

Till then  are my wish every night

And my thought every day

One day I'll tell you

What I've wanted to say

On an island from here

We'll be dressed in our dresses

Our hearts will be one

And our minds at rest

Pronounce us wife and wife

And my life will be best
