The bottle has won

The bottle has won

A Poem by Quinn
"

Another poem focused around my battle with addiction.

"
The end of the bottle
The last golden sips
The last drop of numbness
As it passes my lips

I’m in heaven for a while
So safe and secure
Like nothing can hurt me
It’s all part of the cure

That feeling used to last me
A long day or two
Now it barely makes it
‘til the morning dew

A bit of me wants to stop
But the drink has won
The bottle has my soul
There’s nothing to be done

This is so brave of you to open this pain here , you didn't try to make easy or nicer than it is , addiction is very hard to handle , good job
