Nightmare

"
Trapped in a cage,
you're screaming bloody murder,
while being hidden from the world;
Floating on the surface of a broken down dream.

Clouded by deception,
Imprisoned by a hell so deep
Looking for a way out
Ripping reality apart by the seams

Cursing dream and night, reality and not,
Standing up against the judgmental life.
Slowly dying on the inside...

Need to run, need to hide
Tripping over death to escape this demise
Bloodcurdling hell raining down your throats
With nowhere safe to lie

Written very well. The second stanza is pure brilliance.

This is a poem very well-written :) Wow, I'd kill to (never) have a dream like this. Poems aren't my favorite things, but this one sure is nice. It's rather short, but I assume poetry about nightmares would be pre~tty spooky at a longer length. I'd rate this a 90/100, for while there aren't any spelling/punctuation errors it could be a little more descriptive. Again, maybe a couple phrases after "slowly dying on the inside" would have been just a bit nicer :)
