Desired Fear

Desired Fear

A Poem by StatAnimalLover

Sometimes situations occur
And one knows not what to do
It's like a fork in the road
And both ways have bloody trails
Standing in the mist
So alone
Yet you feel 1 000 eyes
Watching you
Like a lioness watched a Zebra
Before she pounces
And so you wait
As the roads wrap around
And the sent of fear is inhaled
By the quick breathing
Just let go
Voices whisper in unison
And in the distance
A scream is heard
Confusion rushes through the mind
Numbing its every cell
Until the realization
That the mouth is open
And the scream came from the one within
Feeling the cold fingers and madness take hold
And slowly pulls down
Deeper into the darkness
Deeper into the world where letting go
Is always an option
But when letting go
Others take control
And in the end
A new path is made
With trails of not only blood
But tears and anger
Regret and defeat
Defeated by the ever lasting
That is one's greatest desired fear
