Dark Darkest Hour

Art class carvings
The tiny blade in my hand
Sliding so effortlessly across the smooth limo
Would anyone notice
What if the blade was to slip off the block
And glide across my skin like a canoe
Going through a silent lake
What if the blade was to disappear
When I ask to go to the bathroom
Would I be caught
Would they even realize
Probably not
They never noticed the pain I've been in
The emotional pain
The internal screaming
The wanting to run away from myself
Why would they notice my physical pain
The only thing that makes me know I am real
One of the few things I can feel
Pain, the sharp sting
The nerves twitching to tell you
You are alive
To make you realize you are a person
Every person feels
So do you
Would anyone here notice
If I were to disappear?
