Everything In Me

It's taking everything in me

Not to burst into tears

The pain and the suffering

I want it to stop

I can't handle the way you treat me

The way people "joke" when I'm feeling so low

On the verge of tears

Crying on the inside

My souls screaming for release

Last night in a dream

I was standing on a roof

Just as I was ready to jump

Stairs appeared

Helping me make my way down

With life

The look of those stairs tore me up inside

I wanted the end

Not a "way out"

I wish I could grow wings

Spread them out

And fly away

Feel the sun melt the pain on my body

Feel the clouds wash away my fears

The pain of living 

And the fear of going on

Fear of the pain that is life
