The Servant of Love

One of my earliest poems .... unedited so please be kind. My latest artwork too ..

The Servant of Love

 

 

Love knows me well,

I am a vessel of her charity.

She fills my heart

to overflowing

that I cannot contain her.

 

Love knows me well,

that I will scatter her words

to heal and salve

the most broken of hearts

as tenderly as she commands.

 

Love knows me well,

I do not cling to her,

I put her to work

in the darkest places

where minds are forsaken

for her need.

 

Love knows me well,

she makes me a channel

from whence she can flow,

I welcome her as a friend

and she leaves me freely.

 

I am her willing servant,

Love knows me well.

Hi Chris and many thanks , another old one but i quite liked it .
I too like pinks and purples in my painting, so today i have done another with a riot of red in it haha ..... i do like messing about with paint .

Another side to your creativity. I used to paint too, mainly in pastels. Maybe I will return to it one day. I wanted to be an artist long before writing poetry.

i love pastels , it's just the spraying to seal them that i think sometimes dulls the colours .... i suppose living on my oiwn i have more time to play with arts and craft things nowadays...
