What was lost is found

What was lost is found

A Poem by Steph K
"

When will I believe?

"

You made me happy,

You made my heart beat,

Fast, like a flick

The click of a blink.

Flutter, flutter, flutter

the red pieces of rose went.

And as quickly as melted butter

It was gone... (Or so I thought)

And then beckoned thee,

But I did not go.

For a lock sealed,

My heart concealed.

A thousand words builds a bridge,

To a sea of hope

thrashing, crashing against...

Crushed.

When silence fell,

When the clocks lost their tick.

When all gave up

And a familiar pinch.

Oh so painless you think; Clinch.

Like shattered glass, a bit torn off.

Ripped? Maybe, profound

Like the relief of lost then found.

Confetti flew and I though I knew

The true you.

Though, I still blamed me

brutal, rouge, unmerciful poise

Hurt me, pained me

And still relived

Because, thoughtless you

Broke me free

From me, myself.

Like fire igniting,

The Troy of my heart

Beat. Beat. Beat.

Until remorse swallowed my sorrows

(Or so I thought)

But still I think of you,

The shiny savior, warrior

Redeemer of my heart.

Very intriguing....I thought of a love that is broken and fixed, broken and fixed - a never ending cycle of pain and then joy, pain and then joy...so fragile is the heart that it is crushed so easily. Yet, it is so strong to pick back up, to fight again, for what it so desires. I had a little trouble with the rhthym and flow - felt a bit stilted to me...but as I think about it, maybe that's okay cause the heart doesn't always flow so easily.

I love this poem, there's something I can't put my finger on, but there's something magical and realistic and beautiful about this all mixed into one :)

fantastic piece.. I love the melodic flow and the precise written narration.. the imagery was well placed and the feelings expressed directly.. most of all I love the specific word structure, where you use a song like rhythm to give the reader some momentum as he intakes your notions.. great job..

Happiness torn asunder but lessons learned help one see who they truly are and thankfulness sets in. Excellent.
