Obscurity

Obscurity

A Poem by Stephany

Muddled

like so many moments

I see what others reject

Pieces of humanity

strewn here, there and

nowhere

distinctive

Struggling

for existance

to belong

any where,

with anyone

A spark of enlightenment

making people wonder

what is there to ponder

is it worth the consideration

Reality

There is nothing more

than what was offered

yesterday

But it is less

than what was searched

for...

Today

Excellent. I may be slightly biased in my review, as I was in the middle of writing my favourite author list (as you do on a saturday night) and I realised that its a bit dystopia heavy...but this has that same feeling of seeing the insanity that surrounds us, while incredulous at the fact everyone else seems to be oblivious to it all.
We do question what its all about a bit too much and like your ending, which is superb, realization dawns eventually, ever so slowly, that we won't ever truly know and even if we did, it wouldnt change a thing.
Brilliant piece.

love the turn in closing .. thoughtful and meditative .. appreciation for the day at hand .. the contrast with the title and body of your poem is sharp ... life gets that way .. and society/humanity will surely disappoint .. we have to dig deeper for the place that trust will not be rejected ... i think your poem is a large gift in a small package .. well done says i!

Thank you!
Sometime you WANT - NEED - more than what you perceive you have ...RIGHT NOW. What worked or was enough just isn't anymore. And we don't always know or understand the why - we just deal as we can.
