Breakfast with a Queen

Breakfast with a Queen

A Poem by Stephen

Breakfast with a Queen

She stopped by this morning

We shared a cup of tea

We listened to an owl

Outside in the tree

We sat and watched the sunrise

Paint pink across the sky

When she got up to leave

She didn’t even say goodbye

Left all alone to wonder

What it’s all supposed to mean

But what a way to start my day

Having breakfast with a queen
