Happy Birthday Mom

Happy Birthday Mom

A Poem by Stephen

Happy Birthday

 Mom

A pink carnation

your flower of choice

I know you in heaven

but I still hear your voice.

January 9th

it's snowy and cold

today you'd be 70

WOW, you'd be old!

I'm laughing, I'm crying

my emotions are mixed

age is a number

yours stays 36

I am glad that you had a fine respect for your mom There are some of us that have had that opportunity fade to a point of lost importance. We know who is mother and we know who is son. I know I have accepted a duty which I could have shunned. I am here because I love the Lord and He expects it of me. HE is my savior and has never turned his back on me ever. I owe the Lord my Father my life and for his protection on my children and their children. I will see to my mother's care through His hands and we will be friends.

There is simplicity in your images, and a touch of wit before you hit the reader with the reality. This is a well done tribute, and a good poem all around.
