The Honey Bee

The Honey Bee

A Poem by Steve H
"

Its hot, and I fancied writing something, this one took about 3 minutes so its not amazing, but made me chuckle in a dark kinda way!

"

I was eating toast and honey sat under a tree

When I heard the faintest buzzing sound and turned to see a bee!

He looked rather offended by the honey round my chin

So he found my bottom, turned around, and stuck his stinger in!

I screamed and tried to swat the thing

As he flew down to the floor

But bees have only got one sting

So he couldn’t live anymore

I felt so bad I wiped my mouth and threw the toast away

I’ve never eaten honey since that lovely summer’s day.

Ah, no more honey? What a shame. I think this was wonderful and light hearted. I love bumble bees too so you get extra points with me on this. Wonderful job.
