Smile

It's weird how the world works.

Not knowing the difference between death and hurt.

When everything came falling down.

It was hard to smile when I wanted to frown.

 

I couldn't look at myself in the mirror.

Finally it hit me the picture was clearer.

It wasn't my fault when she left.

All I ever did was give her my best.

 

I wake up in the morning feeling like a child.

Knowing I no longer have to fake my smile.

I met a woman, What can I say.

My long lost feelings of love came back today.

 

If it wasn't for her I would still be sad.

Lying in my bed all pissed and mad.

Her eyes so blue like an ocean.

My feelings for her are of the strongest emotion.

 

I thank her every single day.

For those three little words she didn't have to say.

When we go out you see me smile.

From ear to ear just like a child.
