                     ***       REMINISCE     ***

 

Like the lull before a storm, I dreamt,

I dreamt, I saw my friend last night ,

Alive as you and me.

“Friend, you are two years dead” said I,

Her remaining but a forgotten name,

In quiet places where memories die.

“I didn’t die “ said she ,

“I never died “ , said she.

 

“The cancer killed you my friend” I said,

As reality bit , through dreams that bled,

“Takes more than cancer to kill a friend “,

‘It’s a lie”, said she,

Said she , “I didn’t die!”

 

“From earth beneath to its beyond,

In every single hug you end,

In every word of warmth you suffice ,

There, you’ll find me , my friend,

Said she ,”There you’ll find me in a frien

Nice but, yet a sad poem and wonderful choice of words so strong and full of emotions convincing a friend they are no longer here and that happening in one of my books right now that I'm reading. Anyways well done and hope to read more of your poetry full of power.
