Christmas Surprises

Christmas Surprises

A Poem by Amanda
"

I tried, lol don't judge too hard

"
Two lovers walk hand in hand,
The bright lights guiding their way.
Glittering snow covers the land,
The perfect Christmas day.
In her eyes he spies a twinkle,
Reflective of the snow.
Admiring the white sprinkle,
"I love you," he says. "I know,"
She grins, squeezing his palm.
His cheeks are slightly blushed,
As he tries to keep his calm.
The trees are slightly hushed,
As if they know just what to do.
At home under the decorated tree,
Awaits surprises for each of the two.
The snow crunches beneath their feet,
As they make their way back home.
The cottage is nice and neat,
And she will never feel alone.
Later that night on bended knee,
He asks for her hand in marriage,
And as she squeals with glee,
The lover spots a miniature baby carriage...
