There’s no need
To cry

When nothing

Is lost

For that is why

We cry

Right?

We cry when

We lose something

We no we cannot

Ever get back.

We cry when our mind

Forces itself into

This idealistic state

Where we think

(And pretend to

Know)

That we will gain

That lost baggage

Again.

That’s when

We cry.

Everyone always

Finds me

With tear-stained

Cheeks

And blood-shot

Eyes.

Always.

For once

Not this time

I haven’t lost

What I’ve gained

I can’t be sad

For something

I know I haven’t

Lost.

I’m reveling in

The fact that

I have gained

So much

Friends

Experience

Happiness

Confidence

Knowledge

Trust

Sanity

How can

I cry

For I have not lost

Anything.

For once

For once

I leave a place

That means

So much

Smiling

Not

Sobbing.
